RM Procurement (Head)

Role Overview: As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for formulating sourcing strategies and leading the procurement process for raw material, chemicals, packing materials, and engineering items. Your primary focus will be on ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets. Key Responsibilities: - Timely sourcing of materials to support uninterrupted production activities - Preparation of purchase/work orders in accordance with defined SOPs once purchase requisitions are released - Facilitating the replacement of rejected materials - Ensuring compliance and recording for job works with proper reconciliation - Collaborating with cross-functional departments to ascertain procurement plans - Establishing price points and specifications for contracts and negotiating with vendors for products and services Vendor Management & Development: - Reviewing supplier financial statements/reports to assess overall supplier health - Conducting performance evaluations for vendors per defined guidelines and frequency - Developing new/alternative vendors to meet business needs Inventory Management: - Reviewing inventory levels and monitoring stock accuracy for improved inventory planning Product Development: - Working on the development of various alternative products to enhance quality and cost-effectiveness MIS/Reporting: - Timely responding to queries from departments regarding procurement items and addressing any issues or discrepancies via email - Implementing procurement automation processes and generating MIS reports on key metrics, inventory, import & domestic PO, export operations, price trends, and other relevant aspects.,
