RM Material Planning Manager

Role & responsibilities

Reason for Proposal

To develop & improve systems and processes in the area of Import, export and Material planning for the paints & Coatings business, in order to efficiently and accurately generate the RM/PM requirement and drive critical business objectives. The core responsibility of the candidate will also be to support business with import/export and analysis on RM/PM requirement. RSL-RM and Vendor OTIF, RM/PM Inventory, SLOBs are key deliverables of this role.

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities

1) Cetralise ordering of all imported RM for Decorative sites

2) Distribute RM from bonded warehouse to all sites

3) Review CHA performance with KPIs

4) Reconcile bonded warehouse inventory

5) Clear the import consignment within the given timeframe to avoid any detention and demmurages.

6) MRP Run for RM/PM Explosion

4) Drive SAP Hygiene with site material schedulers

6) Review daily/weekly/monthly coverage of Raw Material and work with production planning team for

daily/weekly/monthly delivery.

7) Review ageing of RM/PM at various sites with material schedulers.

8) Agree on safety stock with site schedulers, Monitor RSL & OTIF for RM/PM

9) Work with site planners on RM replacement/ Transfer RM to other sites/ allocation of constraint RMs

10) Work with respective stakeholders on consolidation of common RMs.

11) RM Import and Export planning

12) Drive Slow and Non moving RM stock meeting with respective stakeholders

13) RCA to be done for stockouts and need to be presented in Mfg review

14) Review critical Supplier Capacity half yearly and highlight gap between demand and supply if any.

15) Review / Oversee RM movement to PFR.

16) PO to be raised for long lead time imported RMs for all sites.

Functional Responsibilities/Network

The Job requires co-ordination and influencing across teams PFRs, Plants, procurement and planning teams across all levels.

Preferred candidate profile

Other skills (please include other relevant information such as education, necessary experience, etc)

1. Atleast 5 years’ experience in FMCG, Paint, Retail sectors especially in internal customer facing roles

2. Strong analytical skills and ability to interface influence and be pro-active.

3. Strong Customer facing and Influencing skills are important for this role

Post Graduate Qualification in Supply Chain/operations or related streams is mandatory
