You should have a minimum of 2-4 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel for the Indian subsidiary of a multinational company or Indian multinational. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client/third party contracts. It is essential to have a strong understanding of the firm's risk management policies and processes and the ability to assess risk accordingly. Working independently, you must deliver high-quality work, multi-task effectively, meet deadlines, and handle high-pressure situations with attention to detail. Additionally, you should exercise judgment regarding confidential and sensitive information and collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment to find business-friendly solutions. Role & Responsibilities - Draft, review, and negotiate client/third party contracts. - Liaise with internal stakeholders, business teams, and senior management to resolve complex contractual issues promptly. - Gain a deep understanding of contractual/legal concepts and provide clarifications to senior management and business teams. - Work within tight deadlines and the firm's legal and risk framework to provide quick solutions for smooth contract closure. - Negotiate with clients/third parties on contractual matters and escalate critical issues internally when necessary. - Understand firm policies, frameworks, and SOPs relevant to the role, update SOPs, train junior team members, and support process simplification, automation, and innovation. - Develop a broad understanding of the firm's risk management policies. - Maintain professionalism and integrity in all dealings, ensuring accuracy in tasks to avoid undue risk exposure. - Adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal risk procedures, remaining independent and objective at all times. THE INDIVIDUAL You should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with familiarity in legal and other productive technology tools being an added advantage. Possessing a strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and relationship-building capabilities is crucial. You must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivation, autonomy, strong written and verbal communication skills, a keen sense of responsibility, solid professional standards, and a track record of dependability are essential.
