Risk Engineer - thermal power

Role Overview: As an Associate Vice President (AVP) or Vice President (VP) of Risk Engineering within the Power Sector, you will lead high-impact risk assessments, site surveys, and technical evaluations for top-tier energy clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed risk surveys at power generation facilities, delivering actionable risk reports with loss estimates and improvement plans, and collaborating with stakeholders across Risk, Operations, and Insurance. You will also support new project reviews and international risk placements while working closely with business leaders, ranging from engineers to CXOs. Key Responsibilities: - Lead high-impact risk assessments, site surveys, and technical evaluations for top-tier energy clients - Conduct detailed risk surveys at power generation facilities - Deliver actionable risk reports with loss estimates and improvement plans - Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Operations, and Insurance - Support new project reviews and international risk placements - Work closely with business leaders, ranging from engineers to CXOs Qualifications Required: - 10-15 years of experience in Risk, Engineering & Consulting, with a focus on operations/maintenance in power plants - Strong grip on technical audits, risk analysis, and reporting - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Mechanical Engineering degree, preferably from an IIT/NIT If you enjoy blending engineering depth with business impact and excel in client-facing, international roles, this opportunity may be suitable for you.
