Risk & Controls Analyst

As a Risk & Controls Analyst, you will play a crucial role in preventing potential risks to customers by supporting the first line of defence and businesses in applying effective risk management practices. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting the delivery of risk management initiatives to apply the operational risk framework and fulfill risk obligations effectively. - Assisting the business in managing risks by ensuring the presence of mechanisms to identify, report, manage, and mitigate risks within a defined risk appetite. - Developing and supporting the analysis of management information to enhance risk management for stakeholders. - Contributing to the development of guidance notes, training material, and content to up-skill the first line of defence function and businesses. - Supporting management in facilitating stakeholder meetings and key forums by preparing supporting paperwork and assessing regulatory impacts. - Building and maintaining working partnerships across the bank and franchises to gather intelligence on emerging risks and controls. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Awareness of how a large financial services organization operates. - Experience working in a first or second line of defence risk role. - A track record of achievement and delivery. - Knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies. - Understanding of operational risk management. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.,
