Job Description

Initiate and complete prior authorization requests for medical services and procedures. Also, followup with insurance companies to verify the approval/denial status Accurately document authorization details in the system, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines Identify and resolve discrepancies in authorization information, escalating complex cases as needed Identify key details such as diagnoses, treatment plans, lab results and physician notes through electronic health records to understand the patients medical condition Identify and interpret medical records to ensure accurate and efficient prior authorization for medical services Confirm patients insurance coverage and active status Contact insurance/payer or use online portals for real time verification .
