Job Description

Job Summary:

The Steward is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and prompt service to guests while maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the restaurant. The role ensures a pleasant dining experience by assisting in food service, table setup, and adherence to hygiene and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Present the menu, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages promptly.
  • Ensure tables are set up properly before service and cleared efficiently after use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area and service stations.
  • Assist the Captain / Supervisor during busy hours and follow their instructions.
  • Ensure proper handling of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and service equipment.
  • Refill water, beverages, and condiments as required during service.
  • Report guest feedback, complaints, or special requests to the Captain or Manager.
  • Follow safety, grooming, and hospitality standards as per company SOPs.
  • Support in mise-en-place and closing duties before and after service hours.

Requirements:

  • Education: 10th / 12th Pass or Diploma in Hotel Management / F&B Service.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience as a Steward / Waiter in a restaurant or hotel (freshers may also apply).
  • Skills & Attributes:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pleasant personality with a guest-oriented attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Team player and eager to learn.
  • Attention to detail and discipline in work habits.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
