Job Title: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Company Name: Galaxy Hospital Job Summary: The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) plays a critical role in providing round-the-clock medical care and support to patients under the guidance of senior consultants. The RMO ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, responds to emergencies, and assists in clinical procedures and day-to-day operations within the hospital or healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities: Provide continuous medical cover, routine, and emergency, for patients. Monitor and record patient vital signs and progress regularly. Assist consultants in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving measures. Write and update patient case notes, discharge summaries, and referral letters. Ensure all medical records and reports are accurately maintained. Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary. Supervise and coordinate with nursing and paramedical staff. Ensure informed consent is obtained for all appropriate procedures. Attend ward rounds with consultants and provide relevant clinical input. Communicate effectively with patients and their families about treatment plans and progress. Follow hospital policies on infection control, patient safety, and documentation. Participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience: MBBS degree (or equivalent) from a recognized medical college. Registration with [Insert relevant medical council, e.g., MCI/NMC]. [1-3+] years of post-internship experience, preferably in a hospital setting. BLS/ACLS certification is preferred (especially for ICUs/Emergency roles). Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends. Key Skills: Clinical judgment and decision-making ability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage medical emergencies. Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Empathy and professionalism in patient interactions. Working Conditions: Hospital environment, shift-based duty hours. Exposure to stressful situations and medical emergencies. May require extended hours during critical cases or high patient load.
