Job Title: Nursing Supervisor /Assistant Nursing Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Nursing Supervisor (or Assistant Nursing Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves coordinating daily operations, supervising nursing personnel, managing staffing levels, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations across assigned units.
  • Monitor patient care delivery and intervene as needed to ensure quality and safety.
  • Assist in planning and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations to nursing staff.
  • Participate in staff scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Respond to emergencies and serve as the administrative authority on assigned shifts.
  • Conduct rounds to assess care quality and address patient or family concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, state licensing).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Oversee orientation and ongoing education of nursing personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with experience.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience:
  • Nursing Supervisor: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Assistant Nursing Supervisor: 2-3 years of clinical experience, leadership potential preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, or other specialty certifications may be required based on unit.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in clinical decision-making and critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer systems.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced healthcare environment with direct patient care responsibilities.
  • May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, and on-call availability.
  • Physical requirements include lifting patients, standing for extended periods, and responding quickly in emergencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
