Resident Engineer (E&M / Depot)

Responsibilities:

The Resident Engineer (E&M / Depot) will assist the Chief Resident Engineer (Depot) in the proper implementation of E&M work, including the following broad tasks:

Design & Planning Review:

• Review and supplement the detailed project report/concept report and all available design reports related to E&M works.

Supervision & Monitoring Assistance:

• Oversee overall coordination with the General Engineering Consultant (GEC) team and ensure project execution adheres to quality and safety frameworks.
• Monitor E&M construction and activities as per approved Good For Construction (GFC) drawings and proof-checked designs.
• Manage overall site operations for E&M aspects.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Handle client/management reporting and documentation, including the certification of quality work.

Interface & Issue Management:

• Coordinate interfaces with civil and system contractors.
• Manage the issuance and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Site Operations & Verification:

• Handle day-to-day planning of E&M construction activities.
• Verify and certify contractor bills related to E&M works.
• Identify traffic requirements during construction and pinpoint site obstructions.
• Coordinate with GEC and GMRCL for utility shifting.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality observations. Oversee construction at the site as per approved method statements.

Testing & Commissioning:

• Provide assistance in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform any other work specifically mentioned in the Terms of Reference (ToR).
