Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Research Scientist - Oral Care to join our R&D team This role is pivotal in developing innovative oral care formulations aligned with client specifications and market trends The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, hands-on formulation experience, and a passion for advancing oral health through product innovation

Key Responsibilities:

Research, develop, and optimize oral care formulations including toothpaste, mouthwash, tooth powders, gels, and other innovative formats Evaluate new raw materials, actives, and technologies for potential product applications Conduct stability, compatibility, efficacy, and safety testing of new formulations Collaborate with regulatory, quality, and production teams to ensure compliance with national and international standards (eg FDA, BIS, ISO) Document and maintain accurate formulation records, technical data sheets, and trial reports Support customer and business development teams with technical insights and prototypes Continuously monitor industry trends and bring forward new product ideas and innovation opportunities Troubleshoot formulation and production challenges during scale-up and commercialization

Education:

B Tech / M Tech Cosmetics

Hard Skills:

Strong knowledge of oral care formulation principles, ingredient functionalities, and regulatory standards Experience in bench-scale formulation, stability studies, and safety assessments Familiarity with lab equipment and analytical techniques used in oral care R&D Understanding of GMP, GLP, and quality systems in a manufacturing setup

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Creative thinking with a passion for innovation Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Preferred Experience:

5+ years of experience in oral care formulation and development, preferably in a contract manufacturing or private label environment Proven track record of developing successful commercial products
