Research Intern - Private Equity / Investment

Miraan Ventures is a UK-based search fund founded to acquire and operate a great business in the UK. We believe in steady, sustainable growth and continuity. Our goal is to take on the responsibility of ownership from founders looking to transition and to build on their legacy with respect, discretion, and long-term commitment.

Role: Research Intern (2 positions)

Location: Remote (India)

Commitment: 15–20 hours/week (with flexibility)

Duration: 3–6 months, with potential to extend or convert to full-time Research Associate

What you'll do

• Conduct in-depth sector research across reports, filings, trade bodies, press, company sites, and LinkedIn.
• Identify and shortlist potential target companies against defined criteria.
• Build company profiles and research notes (ownership, financials, competitive landscape, risks).
• Track industry/company news relevant to the pipeline.
• Tackle ad-hoc investigative questions requiring persistence and rigor.

What we're looking for

• Relentless research ability and follow-through.
• Strong analytical mindset with clear synthesis of what matters.
• Detail-oriented, structured note-taking and documentation.
• Background in commerce, economics, management, finance, or market research preferred.
• Ability to understand drivers of success in industries and companies (unit economics, moats, customer acquisition/retention, operations).
• Self-motivated and comfortable with sustained, focused work.
