Research & Development Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

• Laboratory research and development of chemical processes
  • Process optimization, yield improvement and impurity control • Scale-up of laboratory batches to pilot and commercial production • Preparation and maintenance of SOPs, BMRs, MSDS, COA and technical documentation • Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and providing technical support to production • Raw material evaluation, alternate vendor validation and trial batches • Stability studies, shelf-life and compatibility testing • Compliance with ISO, GMP and quality systems • Lab safety, housekeeping and instrument calibration • Continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives

Candidate Profile / Skills Required:

• M.Sc / B.Sc in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Chemical Technology
  • 15 years experience in chemical R&D, process development or manufacturing support • Strong knowledge of reaction chemistry, crystallization, filtration, drying, neutralization and distillation • Hands-on experience in scale-up and pilot plant operations • Good documentation, analytical and reporting skills • Knowledge of ISO / GMP documentation systems • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and laboratory documentation • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
