About the job

Looking for a highly motivated entry-level synthetic organic or medicinal chemist to join our established team. The highly qualified individual is expected to have experience in modern organic synthesis with good laboratory skills and high productivity. Key aspects of the role are being able to work within a team, propose and execute synthetic routes and engage in troubleshooting exercises when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of the senior chemist/manager.
• To fully understand the project scope.
• Utilize modern synthetic strategies to design and execute synthesis of target molecules.
• Set up and organize equipment and conduct the reactions skillfully so that they are run in a safe manner.
• Plan, develop and trouble shoot complex multi-step synthesis.
• Expert knowledge in carrying out a wide variety of organic laboratory techniques
• Ability to characterize products of complex structure by independent interpretation of spectral data.
• Ability to work on different projects of varying lengths and complexity.
• Attention to details and to record observations meticulously in Electronic Lan Notebook (ELN) and/or in the notebook.
• Attend meetings, share and discuss observations/data, and follow the instructions .
• To be independent in maintaining their fume cupboards, setting up experiments and planning analysis.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience CRO experienced candidates.
• Good Chemistry Knowledge and/or a strong technical grounding in Organic Chemistry.
• Demonstrated strength in practical laboratory techniques.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
