Job Overview
We re looking for a talented Research and Development Specialist to join our dynamic team
In this role, you ll play a key part in designing, developing, and refining cutting-edge formulations for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care products You ll work closely with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and market demand If you re a problem-solver with a passion for innovation and a knack for turning ideas into tangible results, we d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Research and develop new product formulations for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care lines, aligning with client specifications and industry trends
Conduct experiments, stability testing, and quality assessments to ensure product safety, efficacy, and shelf-life Collaborate with production, marketing, and procurement teams to scale formulations from lab to manufacturing Stay updated on raw materials, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in the wellness industry Innovate and improve existing product lines to enhance performance and customer satisfaction Maintain detailed documentation of research processes, formulas, and trial results Support private-label clients by customizing formulations to meet their unique brand needs
Qualifications
Hard Skills:
Strong knowledge of cosmetic chemistry, formulation techniques, and raw material functionality
Proficiency in lab equipment (eg pH meters, viscometers, mixers) and testing methodologies Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Indian regulatory standards (eg BIS, CDSCO) Data analysis and interpretation skills for product testing and refinement Basic computer skills (MS Office, formulation software, etc)
Soft Skills:
Creative thinking and a passion for problem-solving
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and clients Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Certification in cosmetic formulation or product development (eg from IFSCC or similar bodies) is a plus
Preferred Experience:
2-5 years of hands-on experience in R&D within the skincare, cosmetics, or oral care manufacturing industry
Prior experience in private-label product development is highly desirable Proven track record of successfully launching products from concept to market
