Requirements Engineer

As a Requirements Engineer in Wealth Management area at UBS, your role will involve: - Elicitating and understanding business requirements - Elaborating robust solutions in close collaboration with developers and business - Documenting functional and non-functional requirements in well-understandable, clearly structured Software Requirement Specifications - Focusing on high availability of services and minimizing incidents and interruptions in production - Identifying the impact on interfacing solutions - Supporting testing colleagues in test design and execution - Being a contact partner for all involved project stakeholders - Contributing to efficient, pragmatic, and continuously improving Agile working practices - Sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues, representing colleagues during absences Your team will be the CDIO Wealth Management Japan crew within the Agile Delivery Organization (ADO) aligned to the Japan location WM business. The team is based in Pune, India, and works closely with other locations in APAC (Singapore, Japan, China). The team focuses on powering the world's leading wealth manager with technology that makes a difference for clients and business in Japan, connecting banking, digitization, and innovation for exceptional results. To excel in this role, you should: - Have an engineering Degree (Bachelor/Master) with 10+ years of experience as a tech business analyst in the financial sector - Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Have a solid understanding of security concepts - Be inquisitive, able to challenge effectively, and manage conflicting stakeholder needs - Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills - Be fluent in English - Be interested in learning new technologies and practices, reusing strategic platforms and standards, evaluating options, and making decisions with long-term sustainability in mind - Be a strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing - Preferably have a Business Analysis certification - Have an understanding of and ability to speak Japanese as a plus UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
