Refractory Engineer - Jamnagar

As a Refractory Lining Engineer, your role involves carrying out regular reliability surveys to monitor the health of Refractory Lining. You will be responsible for inspecting the Refractory lining during shutdowns, releasing observations, and providing recommendations. Monitoring day-to-day Refractory activities to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and procedures is a key aspect of your job. Additionally, you will need to closely monitor quality checkpoints, ensure safety aspects are in place, and facilitate timely completion of tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular reliability surveys for monitoring Refractory Lining health - Inspect Refractory lining during shutdowns and provide observations and recommendations - Monitor day-to-day Refractory activities for compliance with standards and procedures - Ensure quality checkpoints and safety aspects are monitored and adhere to timely completion - Prepare Management Information System (MIS) on summary of Refractory activities - Review contractors" efforts, check resources, and make necessary recommendations - Publish Technical Procedures related to Refractory Inspection & Maintenance - Review Technical Offers from Vendors for supply of Refractory Materials and create a historical database - Ensure compliance with MIQA requirements and adherence to heat-up & dry out schedules - Coordinate with external agencies during shutdowns and estimate resource requirements - Conduct visual inspections of Refractories upon receipt of materials at Stores - Participate in reliability studies as identified and ensure proper data entry in SAP-PM - Ensure proper execution and adherence to schedules Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Ceramic/Civil Engineering Experience: - 1 to 6 years of experience in a chemical/petrochemical/refinery organization - Hands-on experience in Maintenance, Reliability analysis, and Root cause analysis with standard applications.
