Rec & Proofing Analyst

As a Rec & Proofing Analyst 1 at our company, you will be a trainee professional expected to have a good understanding of the processes, procedures, and systems relevant to your tasks. You should possess a basic knowledge of the underlying concepts and principles in your role and understand how your team collaborates with others to achieve shared objectives. Your role involves making evaluative judgments based on factual information, resolving problems by selecting solutions based on acquired technical experience, and being guided by precedents. You must have the ability to exchange information concisely and logically while being sensitive to audience diversity. Your impact on the business will be limited to your own job tasks. **Responsibilities:** - Daily reconciliation of general ledger balances to the sub-ledger - Preparation of reconciliation package - Identification and clearance of accounting exceptions and mismatched items - Analysis of reoccurring issues and contribution to process improvements - Monitoring the status of aged breaks on balance sheet accounts - Sound judgment in applying accounting principles to reconciliations - Effective communication with team members, management, and business partners - Responding to Balance Sheet Substantiation team requests for information - Ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met - Participation in and/or leading assigned projects - Assessing risk appropriately in business decisions, with a focus on compliance and ethical conduct **Qualifications:** - CPA or commensurate local accreditation - Experience in accounting, preferably in the financial services sector - Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accounting In terms of education, a Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience is required for this role.
