Rec & Proofing Analyst

As a Rec & Proofing Analyst 1 at Citigroup, your role involves daily reconciliation of general ledger balances to the sub-ledger, preparation of reconciliation packages, identification and clearing of accounting exceptions and mismatched items, analysis of reoccurring issues to develop process improvements, monitoring status of aged breaks on balance sheet accounts, exercising sound judgement in applying accounting principles, effective communication with team members, management, and business partners, responding to Balance Sheet Substantiation team requests, ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met, participating in and/or leading projects, and appropriately assessing risks in business decisions. Qualifications required for this role include being a CPA or possessing commensurate local accreditation, having experience in accounting with exposure to financial services sector being a plus, knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accounting. A Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience is also necessary for this position.
