Job Description

The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for

  • driving the in-store experience, overseeing visual merchandising, sales performance, and daily store operations. This role demands a balance of creative presentation, strategic planning, and leadership to ensure an elevated customer experience that reflects brand ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising:

  • Design and refresh visual displays weekly to maintain an inspiring and engaging in-store atmosphere.
  • Ensure the brand’s aesthetic is reflected across all touchpoints, maintaining alignment with seasonal themes.
  • Ensures fragrance, music is matched to the aesthetic of the brand.

Sales & Target Achievement:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets individually through proactive client engagement, personalized styling recommendations, and follow-ups with loyal customers. Drive sales initiatives that enhance footfall and conversion rates.

Excellent Customer Experience:

  • Deliver a luxury retail experience through attentive service, in-depth product knowledge, and a warm, personalized approach. Manage store communication channels, including phone and digital inquiries, ensuring timely responses.
  • Handle customer requests + complaints and ensure client is communicated on status & delivery

Inventory & Operations:

  • Oversee stock levels, replenishments, and inventory tracking through Softcon and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with backend teams to ensure smooth supply flow and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Administer billing operations through Tally or integrated billing software with precision and compliance.
  • Timely Execution of orders from sales to dispatch

Team Management & Training:

  • Monitor Roster and stagerring of duties, timing wise and across stores, as required.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate store staff to uphold brand values and deliver consistent service excellence.
  • Conduct regular training on sales techniques, customer handling, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure all staff has product & fabric knowledge to communicate with the clients.

Strategy & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to plan promotional campaigns, End of Season Sales (EOSS), and special events.
  • Provide feedback and insights on customer preferences, sales patterns, and product performance to inform future strategies.
  • To keep updated on all trends in fashion.

Third Party Vendors

  • To Maintain all records / communication
  • To prepare the sale data at the end of the month
  • To check inventory & update
  • To execute orders & requests of 3rd Party
  • Manage Stock Levels
  • Regular store inventory checks, audits and cash handling

Exhibitions & Events

  • Ensure the store environment is pristine, organized, and visually aligned with brand standards.
  • Supervise daily upkeep of all areas sales floor, changing rooms, and packaging zones—to maintain an elevated customer experience.

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising and fashion retail aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in Softcon, Tally, and ERP systems for billing and inventory management.
  • Ability to analyze sales trends and develop strategies to boost performance.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic retail environment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining premium store standards.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or related field.
2+ years of experience in premium or luxury fashion retail, with proven expertise in store management and team leadership.
