R&D Professional For Mechanical Recycling

Role & responsibilities

• R&D professional with 8 to 10 years experience in the mechanical recycling of plastics / Polymers specifically in Polyolefins in sectors @ Automotives, Appliances, Pails, Blow moldings, Flexible films etc.
• Strong expertise in Following is Desirable.
• Material characterization, process & product improvement, new grade introductions and technology innovation to enhance recyclates quality and process efficiency.
• Study on Various Plastic Feedstocks (PCR, PIR - Molding, Extrusion etc,) Virgin / waste blends to achieve optimum Recyclates
• Improved washing systems to remove organics, adhesives, and inks.
• Decontamination protocols enabling food-grade Polyolefins.
• Process Optimization thru reduction in energy consumption / Increasing output and maintaining the consistent quality.
• Introduction of New recycled grades thru additives (Additives, Mineral Fillers, Compatibilizers, Nucleating agents, Odor Control agents etc) and other materials for various sectors. Ready to use Materials for all the possible Sectors.
• Cost Optimization, Maintaining Consistent quality for various sub segments of each product category thru Pilot plant studies and Customer trails. Enhance quality of Recyclates to Virgin quality.
• Trials & Testing of actual products (Pails & other IM / BM articles) / Validation
• Benchmarking: Compare A) Recycled material properties with virgin polymer standards to assess downcycling levels & B) With Competitor Recycle Material.
• Life cycle analyses of Products made out of various recyclates.
• Coordination with Regulatory, Accreditation Boards & EPR Compliances with Government regulations. Customer Complaint Handling.

Education Background:

• Bachelors / Masters in Polymer Science or Technology or Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field from CIPET or Any other Reputed Institution.

Languages

• Should be able to converse in Hindi / English & Local language
