R&D Manager

Job Title:

Job Summary:

The R&D Manager will lead and oversee research and development projects to support innovation, product improvement, and new product development. The ideal candidate will manage a team of engineers and scientists, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage R&D initiatives from concept to commercialization.
• Design and implement development processes for new products, technologies, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, marketing, quality, procurement) for product feasibility, prototyping, and launch.
• Manage resources, budget, and timelines for R&D projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and patent filings.
• Conduct competitive product analysis and market research to guide innovation.
• Support continuous improvement in existing products and processes.
• Mentor and develop the R&D team, promoting technical excellence and innovation.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
• Proven track record in R&D leadership, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial equipment sectors.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software, prototyping methods, testing protocols, and production technologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory and certification standards (ISO, CE, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
• Knowledge of IP and patent filing processes.
• Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
