The ideal candidate will be an expert negotiator with a deep understanding of sourcing raw materials and components relevant to the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for acquiring high-quality materials and supplies at the most competitive prices, ensuring our production lines run efficiently without interruption. This role is purely focused on procurement and vendor management. *Key Responsibilities* *Strategic Sourcing:* Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers for raw materials such as fabrics, foam, steel, plastic components, hardware, and other essential supplies. *Vendor Management:* Build, maintain, and manage strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain. Conduct regular performance reviews of vendors. *Negotiation:* Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the most advantageous terms for the company. *Cost Management:* Continuously analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising on quality or delivery timelines. *Quality Assurance Coordination:* Collaborate closely with the Quality Control department to ensure that all procured materials meet our stringent quality standards and technical specifications. Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers promptly. *Procurement Process Management:* Manage the entire purchase order (PO) lifecycle, from requisition to delivery. Ensure accuracy in POs and all related documentation. *Collaboration:* Work in close coordination with the Production and Planning departments to understand material requirements and delivery schedules, ensuring materials are available as per the production plan. *Reporting:* Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management. *Required Qualifications & Skills* *Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. * A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a senior procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. * Experience in the furniture, automotive, or component manufacturing industry is highly desirable. * Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.* * Strong experience in vendor development and relationship management. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities. * Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems. * Strong command of MS Office, particularly Google sheets * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Bengali, and Hindi. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Your role will involve maintaining optimal stock levels, handling petty cash, and coordinating with logistics teams for smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: - Raise Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner and obtain necessary approvals. - Develop and nurture relationships with vendors to facilitate efficient supply chain operations. - Source and negotiate with new vendors to ensure cost-effective and quality material procurement. - Ensure prompt local purchases to meet urgent requirements. - Maintain petty cash records and handle minor store expenses efficiently. - Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and maintain accurate records of materials. - Prepare and verify dispatch documentation such as invoices, delivery challans, and gate passes. - Coordinate with logistics teams for seamless dispatch operations and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
