Department: R&D Instrument Design Engineer

Reports to: Director / R&D Manager

We are looking for an experienced R&D Instrument Design Engineer with a proven track record in medical device development for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD). This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing instruments used in medical diagnostics. Also involves a combination of engineering principles, knowledge of IVD assays, and understanding of regulatory requirements. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the instrument meets performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Experience in IVD medical device product development is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop IVD devices and consumables (e.g., cartridges, instruments).

· Lead or support activities under design control, including risk analysis, V&V, and documentation.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (biology, software, quality, regulatory).

· Create and manage CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.

· Support regulatory submissions and design transfer to manufacturing.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s in Intrumentation/Biomedical/Biotechnology/Electrical/Electronics or related field.

· 3–7+ years of IVD medical device product development experience (required).

· Experience with IVD-specific technologies, such as fluidics, reagent handling, microfluidics, and thermal/optical subsystems.

· Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams and manage technical deliverables.

Pay: ₹243,982.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
