R&D Head - BESS (Battery Energy Storage System)

As the Engineering & R&D Head, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle of battery systems, power electronics, and energy storage technologies. Your role will involve leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensuring product competitiveness in performance, safety, and cost. **Core Deliverables:** - Lead engineering and R&D activities across BMS, Mechanical Design, Power Electronics, Thermal Management, and System Architecture. - Define and implement the technology roadmap for BESS to ensure competitiveness in performance, safety, and cost. - Oversee system-level design and integration for optimized performance, efficiency, and reliability. - Drive design, prototyping, and rigorous validation of subsystems and integrated solutions against global standards. - Ensure all engineering outputs meet regulatory, safety, and certification requirements (UL, IEC, ISO, etc.). - Partner with manufacturing operations to facilitate a smooth transition from design to production, including DFM and quality checks. - Build and lead high-performance engineering teams, fostering technical expertise and innovation. - Implement processes for design optimization, cost efficiency, and sustainability. **Education & Experience:** - Masters/Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or related discipline; PhD desirable. - 10-12 years of experience in engineering and product development in energy storage, renewable energy, or advanced power systems. - Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, electronics, and system design.,
