Role:- R&D - Chemist / Executive

Objectives / Purpose:

Research & development Chemist/Executive will play a key role in the new product development & existing process improvement with key responsibility of conducting synthesis experiments, analysing data, and contributing to sustainable and scalable process development chemistry.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure safety at workplace & safe handling and transport of hazardous chemicals, instrument and glassware.
• Perform the day-to-day experimentations assigned by the supervisor\team lead and document the results.
• Independently design and execute a series of experiments to test hypotheses related to project outcomes.
• Update the lab chemical list and chemical arrangements periodically.
• Prioritize studies and activities to align with project goals and be responsible for timely project completion.
• Record observations and summarize the learnings in prescribed format.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in routine maintenance and lab safety, always use appropriate PPE in the lab.
• Maintain complete and comprehensive records of experimental results,
• Write experimental summaries and project reports. Assist with revisions to SOPs, laboratory records and other documentation as assigned.
• Prioritize studies and activities to align with project goals and be responsible for timely project completion.
• Present technical findings/conclusions and project status updates.
• Communicate the shift details with the team lead and the team members to have smooth workflow.

Interface:

• Interact with Analytical department for document compliance.
• Interacted with Lab assistant for housekeeping of lab, Safety compliance.
• Interact with Team for shift detail and work hand over process.
• Interact with Production department document compliance and trainings.
• Interact with Warehouse department for document compliance and despatches.

Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge in organic chemistry & experimental skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must have ability to perform assigned experiments in a safe and systematic approach.
• Working knowledge literature/ patent search engines/tools.
