Perform antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) using manual or automated methods. Handle clinical specimens such as blood, urine, sputum, pus, and swabs with proper aseptic techniques. Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents, and stains. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets). Follow proper sterilization and infection control protocols. Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and control procedures. Accurately document and report test results using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Assist in maintaining laboratory records as per NABL/NABH standards. Collaborate with pathologists and clinicians for test interpretation when needed. Participate in internal audits and external quality assessments.
