Job Summary

The Support Operations Coordinator will work with the RCX Program Managers and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of RCxRules within the revenue cycle workflow. This position is responsible for managing daily rule engine activities, monitoring claim queues for exceptions, and validating edits to maintain compliance with billing standards. The coordinator will train operations teams on RCxRules functionality, assist with configuration updates, and support integration efforts with billing systems. Acting as the first point of contact for operational issues, this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. . Additionally, the position supports the companys overall Operations and Client Services departments by efficiently and effectively driving the Revenue Cycle Management process and delivering results.

Essential Functions

Support Operations Coordinator

  • Train operations teams on rule engine features, claim review standards, and compliance best practices.
  • Manage day-to-day RCxRules activities, ensuring the rule engine runs correctly and claims are processed without delays.
  • Monitor queues for exceptions, errors, and pending claims; escalate issues promptly.
  • Validate claim edits and confirm compliance with established billing protocols.
  • Assist in deploying new RCxRules configurations and updates under guidance from senior analysts.
  • Coordinate testing of rule changes and document outcomes for approval.
  • Support integration efforts between RCxRules and billing systems during upgrades or workflow changes.
  • Identify recurring operational bottlenecks and propose process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with analysts to refine rule logic for better automation and reduced manual intervention.
  • Act as first point of contact for operational issues related to RCxRules.
  • Document and escalate technical problems to IT or vendor support as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication between billing teams, analysts, and system administrators.
  • Maintain updated SOPs for RCxRules daily operations and troubleshooting steps.

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years in medical billing operations, claims processing, or healthcare support roles.
  • Familiarity with RCxRules or similar rule-based billing systems preferred.
  • Basic understanding of medical billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with operational reports.
  • Comfortable navigating billing platforms and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple operational tasks.
  • Clear communication and coordination abilities across teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset for monitoring claim accuracy and compliance.
