Job Overview

Record to Report (R2R) Review

Key Responsibilities

R2R Process Review & Compliance

  • Review and approve

    complex GL, Bank, and Intercompany reconciliations

    .
  • Ensure the team follows standardized R2R procedures and checklists.
  • Validate journal entries and ensure accurate posting in the accounting system.
  • Identify and resolve reconciliation variances and support corrective action plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

Team Support & Process Expertise

  • Provide process training and conduct regular refresher/calibration sessions.
  • Upskill the team on accounting processes and R2R standards.
  • Resolve daily process-related queries and exceptions.
  • Ensure high-quality and error-free service delivery within agreed SLAs.

Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Control and maintain the Master Data of the General Ledger.
  • Support internal and external audits with documentation, walkthroughs, and clarifications.
  • Participate in implementing new accounting systems, tools, and process improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders to improve accounting accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Ensure clear communication, follow-ups, and timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to meet strict reporting timelines.

Required / Preferred Skills

  • CA

    with Minimum

    3 years of experience

    in R2R / General Ledger / Reconciliations.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
  • Experience in Accounts, Audit, or Financial Statement Preparation.
  • Advanced proficiency in

    Excel (formulas, links, dashboards, macros preferred)

    .
  • Good understanding of insurance brokerage industry (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with attention to detail.
  • Experience in overseas transitions is beneficial.
