Quantity Surveyor MEP

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for semiconductor facility projects, including cleanrooms, utilities, and specialized process systems. Ensures cost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed

  Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

  , material take-offs, and cost estimates for semiconductor and high-tech facility projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and cost impacts.
  
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of quantity and cost data.
  
• Evaluate contractor quotations, bids, and cost proposals.
  
• Support cost planning, budgeting, and value engineering initiatives.
  
• Track and report cost variations, claims, and change orders during project execution.
  
• Maintain updated cost databases and benchmarking records for semiconductor-related construction works.
  
• Ensure adherence to company and client quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in

  Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management

  (or equivalent).

• 12–18 years

  of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in

  semiconductor, electronics, cleanroom, or industrial facility projects

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tender documentation

  .
• Familiarity with semiconductor facility systems (HVAC, cleanroom fit-out, process utilities, etc.) is preferred.
  
• Proficient in

  MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software

  (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
  

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience with international EPC firms or semiconductor fab construction projects.
  
• Understanding of FIDIC or similar contract standards.
