Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Kolhapur.
Department: Engineering / Construction / Project Management
Reporting To: Project Manager / Commercial Manager

Job Summary:

A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring that projects are completed within budget and in accordance with legal, quality, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural and engineering drawings.
• Assist in preparing tender documents, evaluating contractor bids, and supporting contract award processes.
• Monitor project expenses, track variations, and produce regular cost reports.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and valuation of completed work for progress payments.
• Verify and certify contractor and subcontractor invoices.
• Manage material reconciliation and control wastage.
• Evaluate change orders and prepare cost impact reports.
• Assist in dispute resolution, claims management, and final account settlements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control methods
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy)
• Good communication, negotiation, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
