Quantity Surveyor - Interior- Fit-Outs

As a Quantity Surveyor, your role involves various responsibilities at different stages of the project. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - **Pre-Design Phase**: - Conduct site visits for due diligence and to gather all relevant documents from the designer related to Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and quantities. - **Design Development**: - Participate in design concept presentations to assess the usage and quantity of materials. - Verify specifications used in the design presentation. - Prepare a detailed BOQ and engage in discussions with the Designer, MEP Team, and Costing team to ensure value engineering is implemented. - **Design Documentation**: - Validate the BOQ with the procurement, costing, and project teams. - Identify materials for value engineering and escalate any discrepancies to the design team. - **Planning**: - Prepare Initial Good for Construction (IGFC) BOQ based on provided GFC Portfolio. - Evaluate and cross-check items and quantity variations between tender BOQ and IGFC BOQ. - Submit quantity variation details to Costing after review with Project Architect and Department Head. - **Construction**: - Stay informed about the project status and prepare any additional required quantity BOQ. - Share the BOQ with the Department Head and Costing team. - **Execution Stage Quality Check**: - Perform quality checks at various stages of construction, such as installation of gypsum partitions and ceilings. - Coordinate with the site team to ensure accuracy in quantities. - **Post-Construction**: - Coordinate with the Vendor Management, Project, and Design teams to submit the As-Built Quantity to the commercial department. - Provide justifications for any changes in quantity (increase or decrease).
