Quantity Surveyor ( Billing Engineer )

Role & responsibilities

• Lead BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and cost estimation for projects
• Review and finalize RA & final bills as per contract conditions
• Certification and verification of Measurement Books (MB)
• Detailed rate analysis and value engineering to control project cost
• Budget preparation, cost monitoring and cash flow management
• Sub-contractor finalization, billing, reconciliation & negotiations
• Mentoring junior QS / billing engineers and reviewing their work
• Overall responsibility for quantity surveying and billing activities for infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, drains, culverts, utilities and structures
• Preparation and review of BOQ based on DPR, GFC and approved construction drawings
• Detailed quantity take-off for earthwork, sub-grade, GSB, WMM, bituminous layers, concrete works and structures
• Preparation, checking and finalization of client RA bills and final bills as per contract conditions
• Monitoring project budgets, cost control, billing status and cash flow for infra works

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering
• 6-12 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects
• Strong experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and infra billing works
• Hands-on experience in RA & final billing for client and subcontractors
• Experience in rate analysis for non-BOQ and additional items
• Strong skills in cost control, budgeting and material reconciliation
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet billing deadline

Preferred

• Candidates willing to stay at site location and work away from home are required.

• Must be fluent in Tamil for effective site and local authority coordination
• Prior experience in Government / PSU infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
