Job Description

As a Quality Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality standards of Distribution Transformers in Mumbai-Kalwa. Your responsibilities will include: - Coordinating and facilitating external audits for factory approval such as QMS ISO 9001/EN15085-2 Welding Audit/Customer Factory assessment. - Managing quality topics related to Traction Transformer with customers. - Documenting for effective implementation of Quality Management System. - Preparing and releasing In-process checklists by defining checks at various stages of manufacturing. - Conducting In-process inspections on Traction Transformers as per relevant drawings, specifications, and checklists. - Preparing and releasing Quality control plans as per customer specifications. - Managing NC (Nonconformance) by monitoring and controlling all nonconformance in online NC capturing tool. - Conducting root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions, and preparing reports for presentation to customers. - Leading vendor qualification by performing system and process audits as per Siemens Energy production part approval process. - Supporting material localization and cost optimization projects in coordination with the SCM team. - Coordinating with suppliers for NCC, RCA & CAPA closure, and supporting Incoming Quality inspections. In order to be successful in this role, you should possess: - 10-12 years of knowledge in Transformer Field with manufacturing and Quality inspection expertise preferred. - Diploma / Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. - Certification as an auditor for QMS 9001, EMS 14001, OHS 45001 System. Technical Skills required: - Strong knowledge of Traction Transformer manufacturing process and related quality requirements. - Understanding of specific quality requirements of the railway industry. - Proficiency in Quality Management Systems, EMS & OHS. - Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office. - Familiarity with safety practices during shop floor/test field inspections. Key Skills essential for this role include: - Focus on Safety aspects. - Critical thinking and quick analysis based on problem situations. - English fluency in business communication with stakeholders. - Proactive mindset and approach to serve colleagues and customers. - Mindset of growth and service to support colleagues. - Intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multicultural team. - Time management and prioritization skills.
