Quality Manager

Role & Responsibilities Quality (Metal Department)

Customer Requirements & Compliance

• Understand customer-specific requirements and deploy them in processes.
• Identify preventive actions and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949:2016, and industry standards.
• Maintain and update IMDS (International Material Data System).
• Update I-Planet with relevant quality documents.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with network companies on quality-related matters.
• Train down-line team members on quality department practices.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and management reviews.
• Exchange best practices and lessons learned with group companies.

Quality Planning & APQP

• Attend and support APQP team meetings.
• Utilize AIAG core tools: APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP.
• Coordinate FMEA development and reviews.
• Plan quality for new molds or process designs and startups.
• Responsible for all pre-production quality activities for new developments.

Testing & Validation

• Coordinate third-party testing with labs like SGS and ARAI.
• Validate new development designs.
• Request and coordinate lab testing between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

PPAP & Documentation

• Prepare and submit PPAP documents to customers.
• Handle post-PPAP queries and support Sales and Engineering with related reports.
• Maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, Operation Instructions, and other quality system documentation.

Customer Complaints & Problem Solving

• Handle customer complaints for the Metal department.
• Submit 8D reports and ensure horizontal deployment of corrective actions.
• Prevent recurrence of issues using problem-solving tools: 8D, Why-Why analysis, Cause & Effect diagrams.

Gauges, Fixtures & Measurement Systems

• Recommend layout and gauge designs in collaboration with the Engineering and Purchase teams.
• Assess gauge/fixture requirements and approve designs.
• Oversee the manufacturing of gauges and fixtures.
• Conduct Gauge R&R (Repeatability & Reproducibility) studies.

Process Improvement & Audits

• Conduct PPAP, Product, Process, and LPA audits.
• Drive internal quality improvements using 7 QC Tools, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.
• Assist in preliminary process setup studies (DoE).

Leadership & Development

• Manage, train, coach, and counsel subordinates.
• Establish and maintain departmental records and reports.
• Promote customer satisfaction through teamwork, empowerment, and integrity.
• Commit to continuous improvement and performance enhancement.
