Position: Quality Inspection Engineer

We are hiring a Quality Inspection Engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical inspection, documentation, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is methodical, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Visual and dimensional inspection of raw materials (e.g., alloy steel)
• In-process and finished goods inspection
• Use of precision tools: vernier caliper, micrometer, bore dial gauge, etc.
• Coordinate with external agencies for chemical, UT, and physical testing
• Prepare and maintain inspection and testing documentation
• Develop QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) with technical team at the job planning stage
• Visit and inspect materials at vendor sites
• Perform all activities related to quality assurance during manufacturing
• Read and interpret engineering drawings (AutoCAD knowledge preferred)
• Ensure proper digital documentation using computers

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a mechanical QA/QC or inspection role
• Technical Knowledge:
• Measurement and inspection techniques
• Engineering drawing interpretation
• Proficiency in quality documentation
• Computer skills (MS Office, basic software handling)
• AutoCAD skills (added advantage)

Additional Preferences

• Own two-wheeler (bike) preferred
• Candidates residing in Howrah are preferred
