Job Description

  • Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation and Maintenance:

    Developing, implementing, and maintaining the QMS to meet ISO and customer-specific requirements. This includes creating and updating SOPs, ITPs, checklists, and work instructions.
  • Product and Process Quality Assurance:

    Ensuring that raw materials, production processes, and final products meet specified quality standards.
  • Quality Audits and Inspections:

    Conducting regular quality audits, inspections, and investigations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quality data, including test reports, performance metrics, and audit findings.
  • Problem Solving and Corrective Action:

    Leading structured problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D analysis) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Team Leadership and Training:

    Providing guidance and training to quality control teams, including shop floor staff, on quality standards and procedures.
  • Customer Satisfaction:

    Ensuring that customer requirements are met and addressing customer feedback to improve product quality and satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    Implementing continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, TQM) to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:

    Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all quality-related activities, including audits, inspections, and training.
  • Supplier Quality Management:

    Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for raw materials and components from external suppliers.
  • New Product Development:

    Participating in new product development projects to ensure that quality considerations are integrated from the outset.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical Knowledge:

    Understanding of cable manufacturing processes, quality control methods, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

    Ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

    Ability to effectively communicate quality standards and expectations to various stakeholders, including shop floor staff, management, and customers.
  • Leadership and Teamwork:

    Ability to lead and motivate quality control teams, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    Ability to create and maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation and reports.
  • Computer Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
