Quality Engineer

Role: Mechanical Quality Engineer

• Carry out in-process and final inspection of mechanical components, assemblies, and products.
• Perform incoming material inspection as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, and quality documents (QAP, MTC, NCR, CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with ISO / ASME / customer-specific quality standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for rejections and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work with production and design teams to resolve quality issues.
• Handle measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM, Surface Roughness Tester.
• Support client/third-party inspections and audits.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to process quality control (PQC) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare reports on quality performance, rejections, and customer complaints.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with NDT methods (preferred but not mandatory).
• Basic understanding of welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
