Responsibilities for Mechanical Design Engineer Prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings. Sketch and draw up designs using input from engineers and architects on the team. Knowledge of quality measuring instruments and tools. Calculate factors like limits, fits, tolerance, dimensions, thermal and structural analysis. Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations and client standards. Utilize Solidworks and Autocad design tools. Develop 3D models and 2D drawings. Submit drawings to upper management and construction teams. Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing machines. Provide support during the assembly and installation process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and according to design specifications. Finalize designs and send prints to the production department. Prepare control plans and quality plans for vendors. Develop and review the new technical solutions for our customers.
