Quality Engineer

Position Title: Quality EngineerDepartment: Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)Reporting To: Quality Manager / Project ManagerLocation: Project Site / Head Office

Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Planning & Documentation

• Prepare and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Procedures (QCP), and Method Statements.
• Review and approve Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Quality Records.
• Ensure compliance with IS/IRC/BS/ASTM standards for steel structures and civil works.

2. Inspection & Testing

• Conduct in-process and final inspections for fabrication, welding, bolting, and painting of girders and bridge components.
• Coordinate NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) like Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT).
• Witness and record fit-up, welding, dimensional, and alignment checks as per approved drawings.
• Ensure testing of materials like steel, concrete, bolts, paint, etc., as per QA/QC requirements.

3. Quality Control of Work Execution

• Monitor and verify site activities for adherence to quality plans.
• Identify non-conformances and initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Support site teams in maintaining proper work methodology and technical compliance.

4. Reporting & Record Keeping

• Maintain Daily Inspection Reports, Welding Logs, and Test Records.
• Prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and RFI (Request for Inspection) documentation.
• Assist in preparation of Monthly Quality Reports and Client Submission Dossiers.

5. Coordination

• Coordinate with Client / Consultant / Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) for inspections and approvals.
• Work closely with Site Engineers, Fabrication Teams, and Safety Department to ensure integrated quality management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹14,481.84 - ₹32,329.65 per month
