Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

Incoming Quality Inspector / IQA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection & Testing:

  Perform thorough inspections and tests on all incoming mechanical parts and raw materials to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

• Collaboration:

  Liaise closely with suppliers, procurement, engineering, and production teams to communicate quality expectations, address non-conformities, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Documentation:

  Accurately document inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and any corrective actions taken. Maintain detailed records for traceability and audit readiness.

• Process Improvement:

  Analyze inspection and test data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to improve the efficiency and reliability of incoming quality processes.

• Compliance:

  Ensure all incoming materials and components meet applicable regulatory, safety, and industry standards, as well as internal company policies.

• Quality Management Systems (QMS):

  Apply knowledge of QMS methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent) to maintain and improve quality control processes and ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or incoming quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  
• Familiarity with tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is a plus
  
• Understanding of quality standards (ISO 9001 or similar) and industry regulations
