Job Description

Role Summary

QC Engineer

Our Tech Stack

Frontend
: React, WebSocket, HTML5 video APIs
Backend
: FastAPI (async), Django, PostgreSQL, Redis
Infrastructure
: AWS (ECS, S3, CloudFront), Docker
DevOps
: GitHub Actions, CI/CD
Testing
: Playwright / Cypress, Postman, Pytest

Responsibilities

Design and execute manual and automated test plans for frontend and backend flows
Validate video playback, webcam access, and real-time sync (WebSocket-based)
Test REST and WebSocket APIs (Postman, WebSocket clients)
Ensure correctness of data capture (emotion snapshots, resume point)
Perform cross-browser, cross-device, and performance testing
Work with developers to triage bugs and provide clear, reproducible reports
Contribute to test automation (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
Maintain QA logs, checklists, and test documentation

Requirements

3+ years of experience in QA/QC for web applications
Strong understanding of
web app testing
, video & media testing a plus
Experience testing APIs (REST, WebSocket) with tools like Postman or Insomnia
Familiarity with browser dev tools, console/network debugging
Knowledge of test case design, bug lifecycle, and issue tracking (Jira, Trello)
Comfortable with Git and CI workflows
Able to collaborate with developers, designers, and PMs across time zones

Nice to Have

Experience testing
real-time applications
(chat, live dashboards, streaming apps)
Automation experience using
Playwright
,
Cypress
, or
Selenium
Familiarity with Python test tools like
Pytest
or backend debugging
Exposure to AWS environments or performance monitoring tools
