Role Overview

Game Developer (Unreal Engine)

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work on Unreal Engine to implement logic for:

  • Writing on board

    using input triggers and motion logic
  • Highlighting text or areas on board

    dynamically during interaction
  • Referring to content

    or pointing to specific sections in a learning environment
  • Object interactions

    for simulation-based learning moments
  • Text to 3D model integration pipeline

    — converting tagged learning content into usable models or props
  • Collaborate closely with technical artists and animation teams to ensure seamless asset interaction and logic blending
  • Build and test reusable blueprints and systems for interactive classroom behaviors

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience as a

    Game Developer

    using

    Unreal Engine (4 or 5)

  • Strong grasp of

    Blueprint scripting

    (low/no-code logic implementation)
  • Experience with

    interactive object logic

    — drag/drop, trigger, highlight, reference, etc.
  • Familiarity with

    dynamic UMG widgets

    or interaction overlays
  • Understanding of 3D space manipulation (relative transforms, actor tracing, etc.)
  • Comfortable collaborating with animators and technical artists in building integrated experiences
  • Passion for

    interactive simulations

    ,

    serious games

    , or

    non-game real-time systems

  • Familiarity with optimizing interaction logic for performance across devices

  • Primarily focused on game design or gameplay balancing — this is a

    developer/logic role

    , not a designer seat
  • Only experienced with Unity or other engines —

    Unreal Engine proficiency is mandatory

  • Expecting to build a traditional game — this is a

    non-game, simulation-based system

  • Not comfortable working with

    hands-on Blueprint logic and asset integrations

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with

    education, training, or simulation environments

    in UE
  • Understanding of

    data-tagged content

    to trigger in-world actions
  • Previous experience working on tools or pipelines that convert content into game-ready logic
  • Knowledge of

    live rendering workflows or cinematic camera integration
