Job Description

Role Overview: As the Quality Control Head at the Ethanol Distillery, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest quality standards throughout all operations of the distillery. Your expertise in laboratory management, process optimization, and team leadership will be crucial in ensuring the success of the distillery. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and maintain quality control parameters for raw materials, chemicals, and fuel used in ethanol production. - Supervise and review laboratory analysis for in-process samples and finished goods to ensure adherence to set standards. - Oversee and maintain quality standards during production stages including milling, liquefaction, fermentation, distillation, and effluent treatment processes (ETP). - Implement and optimize testing schemes and technologies for accurate measurement, such as starch content in grains and alcohol quality. - Conduct/oversee ENA analysis using Gas Chromatography (GCFID), starch analysis by FOSS Starch Analyzer, and alcohol concentration measurement by Anton Paar systems. - Prepare daily production and quality control reports and maintain comprehensive production records. - Supervise grain unloading, pre-cleaning, milling, and flour analysis processes for quality assurance. - Manage yeast culture propagation and pitching for fermentation, ensuring optimum recovery from grain. - Monitor and ensure smooth operation of the distillation plant, evaporation, decanter, and dryer sections to maintain DDGS production quality. - Lead problem-solving initiatives across auxiliary plants (boiler, turbine, DM plant) to ensure seamless integration with quality objectives. - Ensure full compliance with QMS, FSMS, OHASAS, GMP, GLP, EMS, ISO standards, and green building protocols at the factory. Qualifications Required: - B.Sc. in Microbiology or related field; M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Alcohol Technology preferred. - Diploma in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology or equivalent technical training. - Demonstrated experience (10+ years) in distillery production, preferably in ethanol or related alcohol manufacturing.,
