Job Description

As a Botanical Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and authenticity of botanical ingredients used in homeopathic formulations. Your responsibilities will include: - Botanical Sourcing and Evaluation: You will scout, assess, and establish relationships with botanical suppliers to maintain a consistent and high-quality supply of ingredients. It will be your responsibility to conduct detailed evaluations of botanical samples to verify their authenticity and potency. - Quality Assurance Testing: Your role will involve developing and executing comprehensive testing protocols to evaluate the purity, identity, and potency of botanical extracts. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques and equipment for performing assays and analyses. - Regulatory Compliance: You will stay updated on regulations and standards governing botanical ingredients in the homeopathic industry. Ensuring that all quality control processes align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices will be essential. - Documentation and Reporting: You will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of botanical sourcing activities, testing results, and quality control procedures. Generating comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations for continuous improvement will also be part of your duties. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with departments like Research & Development, Production, and Regulatory Affairs will be necessary to support product development, manufacturing, and compliance initiatives effectively. - Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of quality control processes will be crucial. Implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed to address any quality issues will also fall under your purview. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Botany, Pharmacognosy, Chemistry, or a related field. - Proven experience in botanical sourcing, quality control, or related roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry. - Strong knowledge of botanical identification, extraction methods, and analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to botanical ingredients like USP, Ph.Eur., GMP. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally and convey complex technical concepts clearly. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.,
