Core Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

  Define and drive the overall QA strategy aligned with business goals. Champion quality across the organization and ensure testing is embedded in the software development lifecycle.

• Team Management & Development:

  Lead, mentor, and grow a team of test leads, senior testers, and automation engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.

• Program Oversight:

  Oversee testing activities across multiple projects or programs. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software by managing scope, resources, risks, and dependencies.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Act as the primary QA representative in leadership forums. Collaborate with product owners, engineering heads, and business stakeholders to align on quality goals and release readiness.

• Process Governance:

  Establish and enforce QA processes, standards, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, audits, and metrics analysis.

• Test Architecture & Automation Strategy:

  Define the roadmap for test automation and performance testing. Guide teams in building scalable, maintainable test frameworks and reusable assets.

• Metrics & Reporting:

  Define and track KPIs such as defect leakage, test coverage, automation ROI, and cycle time. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Risk & Compliance Management:

  Identify quality risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

1. Drive innovation in testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.
2. Represent QA in cross-functional initiatives like DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile transformation.
3. Support hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the QA function.
4. Contribute to organizational goals, knowledge sharing, and internal audits.

Technical

1. Strong understanding of test lifecycle management, test strategy, and enterprise QA practices
2. Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) and frameworks
3. Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SOAPUI)
4. Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git, Bitbucket), and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps)
6. Working knowledge of databases and SQL for backend validation
7. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices testing is desirable
