Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

As a QA Automation + Manual Engineer, you will be embedded within agile squads to play a critical role in validating UI flows, API integrations, and backend data consistency through a mix of manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong fundamentals in Manual testing, especially with Java. Practical experience in writing or adapting automation scripts is essential, along with a foundational knowledge of databases and API validation. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Selenium with Java (UI):** - Able to create and run basic Selenium test cases using Java - Comfortable working with element locators (XPath, CSS), waits (explicit/implicit), assertions, reusable methods, and PageFactory / PageObjectModel patterns. - **Postman (API Testing):** - Able to send REST API requests and validate response bodies, headers, and status codes - Understanding basic parameterization and JSON response inspection. - **SQL / DB Testing:** - Running SELECT queries with WHERE clauses to validate database values - Familiarity with basic JOINs is preferred. - **Agile Methodology:** - Participating in sprints and agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and retrospectives - Understanding user stories, estimation basics, and defect lifecycle in an iterative context. - **Jira:** - Logging bugs, updating user stories, and tracking ticket status using Jira. - **SDLC/STLC Knowledge:** - Understanding phases like test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect logging - Familiarity with regression planning and release cycles is expected. - **Communication Skills:** - Clearly describing bugs, test coverage, and task updates in internal meetings or stand-ups. **Qualifications Required:** - Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in QA Automation and Manual testing - Proficiency in Selenium with Java, Postman for API testing, SQL/DB testing, Agile Methodology, Jira, and SDLC/STLC knowledge - Strong communication skills to effectively articulate bugs, test coverage, and task updates - Nice-to-have skills include awareness of Karate (API Automation), TestNG/Junit, CI/CD Integration (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), Maven/Gradle, Git, and Cloud Testing Concepts *Note: The Job Description does not contain any additional details about the company.*,
