Summary

You will be joining an international community of Developers and QA professionals based in the UK, Ireland and Pune and working on an evolving portfolio of products, primarily working within the Engineering and Information Management division. Each QA Engineer is mission critical, analysing customer requirements, ensuring that the software meets our expectations and liaising with the customer/UK team as necessary.

You will also be responsible for planning the testing process and creating and execution of the test cases. And then reporting on performance and feeding essential information back to the development team.

Key responsibilities

• Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
• Identify & validate all functional & non-functional testing requirements for release and patch candidates.
• Identify improvements to the process and assist in their implementation.
• Liaise between Product and Developers to ensure requirements are up to date and implemented and tested accordingly.
• Ensure that the virtual environments needed for sprints are available for QA.
• Determine which product areas should be prioritized for testing based on sprint requirements.
• Plan all QA activities for full team during sprints and wider release.
  Make sure that the sprint requirements are testable and fully tested during the QA cycle.
• Record suitable and concise QA information for tests to allow any QA resource to repeat in the future.
• Ensure the quality of major software releases and patch builds through manual and automated testing.
• Understand and be able to use all areas of the system confidently.
• Participate in team meetings to provide updates on QA progress.
  Communicate promptly any risks identified to the wider team.
• Demonstrate new features as needed and share feedback with the development team.
• Manage and report on requirements within the JIRA platform.
• Make sure that all product documentation is covered during the QA lifecycle.
• Keep up to date with wider QA industry trends and share with the wider team.
• Support the development team to investigate any issues arising from support tickets.

• Finding the solution on net and implementing the same.
• Create & manage testing schedule & work plan for self.
• Participate in deployments that may have to be planned for after-hours or on weekends.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• SDLC & QA methodologies expertise.
• Skills in designing and executing technical validation scripts to validate data flows across systems.
• Write test strategies that document testing approach to include number/type of test cycles required, existing test scripts to use/update, new test scripts to write, environment requirements, training needs and backend system testing.
• White-box testing
• Black-box testing
• UI testing
• API testing
• Reports testing
• Perform scheduled, ad hoc functional testing & regression testing
  Interacting with relational databases to create and validate test data results.
• Excellent communication with the UK team.
  Need to speak and understand English:- As will have to interact with the dev team (in UK) Good English comprehension skills. To understand the mails, requirement document or even a message in Teams
