Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer with over 4 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in leading our test automation initiatives and driving technical growth within the Quality Assurance (QA) team. Based in Ahmedabad, this on-site opportunity offers a dynamic environment where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks that are scalable and reusable. You will be implementing design patterns such as the Page Object Model (POM) to enhance maintainability and automate testing for web applications, APIs, and REST APIs using industry-standard tools. Integration of automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing will be a key aspect of your role. Within an Agile/Scrum development environment, you will actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaboration with developers, testers, and DevOps teams will be essential to optimize test automation strategies and ensure adherence to best practices in software testing and automation. Your technical expertise should include: - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress for automating complex workflows and integration tests. - 2+ years of experience in automating test cases using Selenium WebDriver with Java or JavaScript. - Strong knowledge of REST API testing and automation tools, with expertise in JavaScript being a plus. You will also be responsible for enhancing existing test automation frameworks, developing custom scripts/tools to streamline automation processes, and executing functional, regression, and performance automation tests. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 4+ years of hands-on experience in test automation. - Strong expertise in Cypress (3+ years) and proficiency in Selenium WebDriver (2+ years) with Java/JavaScript. - Experience with API automation (REST API, Postman, RestAssured, etc.). - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Nice-to-have skills include experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack), and knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Mocha, and Chai.
