As a Senior Software QA Engineer at VitalEdge, you will play a crucial role in designing and building automated tests while contributing to the continuous improvement of the Test Automation Framework and System. Your responsibilities will include automation scope covering web, mobile, and API products, executing regression tests, health checks, and other scripts. You will integrate test execution with a cloud-based CI/CD platform based on a defined release process. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of quality and test design, ensuring effective test coverage, code reuse, and traceability through a data-driven, risk-based testing approach. Advanced programming skills and practices are essential, and you will have the opportunity to expand your product and technical domain capabilities through active involvement in projects, research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build automation solutions for web, API, and mobile testing, along with automated build and deployments. - Contribute to the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Test Automation Frameworks. - Ensure compliance with established processes, practices, and standards, including automation practices, coding standards, agile scrum methodology, and release processes. - Lead automation efforts and coaching opportunities leveraging the team's current skills. - Take ownership of automation assets, including coding practices, script maintenance, expansion, quality, and continuous improvements. - Create comprehensive technical documentation. - Continuously enhance your expertise in product knowledge, business domain, and technical tools while sharing your knowledge with the team. Preferred Skills: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science, or a related field preferred, with at least 3 years of related work experience. - 3+ years of experience in automated functional and API testing and design, with proficiency in Java, Selenium, TestNG, JSON, Spring, Linux, Appium, and Bitbucket pipelines. - Proficiency in various programming languages, with a preference for Java and 5+ years of experience. - Advanced skills in automation, development, testing, and process tools such as IntelliJ, Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Android Studio, MS Azure, Bitbucket/Git, TestComplete, and BitBar. - Experience in web applications, web services (REST), and mobile applications. - Familiarity with source control systems, with a preference for Git and Bitbucket. - Experience working with distributed teams and following an agile scrum process. - A passion for software engineering as a QA Automation Engineer, with strong problem-solving, debugging, and profiling skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
